Welcome to Happy Valley State School
Happy Valley State School has been proudly serving the community of Mount Isa since 1932. Here students experience success, have positive self-image and confidently master new skills. Our prep to year 6 curriculum is augmented by gifted and talented programs, early and ongoing intervention and special needs support to ensure individualised success for all students.
Our school vision at Happy Valley is to develop learners that think, connect, innovate and celebrate. Our school-based social skills program ensures that all students are happy and safe at school. Our school is active in the community participating in Anzac Day, Eisteddfod competitions, local sporting competitions, Isa Street Parade and Rock Pop Mime.
The value of parents as partners in their child’s education is well recognised at Happy Valley State School. Parents are encouraged to become involved in the school. Our Parents and Citizens Association fosters cohesion within the school community, provides input into school-based decision making and raises funds to provide additional resources critical to our success.
